It transforms into a handheld device for easy above-floor cleaning and includes several handy tools like the upholstery tool, anti-allergen dust brush, and crevice tool. Its swivel steering ensures you can maneuver with ease around tight corners and furniture. If you're someone who values both comfort and performance, the HV301 might just be your next best cleaning companion.
Pros
- Ultra-lightweight design (under 9 lbs), making it easy to carry and use for long periods without tiring.
- Powerful suction that remains consistent, even as the vacuum fills up, ensuring no loss of power.
- Converts effortlessly into a handheld vacuum for versatility, enabling cleaning of floors, upholstery, and tight corners.
- Includes useful accessories such as the upholstery tool, anti-allergen dust brush, and crevice tool, allowing you to tackle various surfaces and hard-to-reach areas.

- The easy-empty dust cup ensures you can quickly dispose of dirt without making a mess or wasting time.
- Backed by a 5-year limited warranty, providing peace of mind about long-term durability.
Cons
- The vacuum is corded, which limits mobility compared to cordless models, especially for larger spaces.
- Dust cup capacity may be too small for larger cleaning sessions, requiring frequent emptying during use.
- While the vacuum is powerful, it may not be the best choice for thicker carpets or heavy-duty cleaning, as its suction power may struggle with dense materials.
- Some users may find the fingertip controls a bit less intuitive when toggling between surfaces, especially for first-time users.
- The storage hook for the handheld vacuum is convenient but may not be ideal for everyone, especially those with limited storage space.
In terms of versatility, maneuverability, and lightweight design, the Shark Rocket HV301 certainly stands out, offering a balance of features that make it ideal for quick clean-ups in homes with short carpets or smaller floor spaces. However, its corded nature and relatively small dust cup may make it less suitable for larger or more demanding cleaning tasks.

At less than 8 pounds, this vacuum offers a compact design without sacrificing performance. With Scatter-Free Technology, powerful suction, and an easy-to-empty dirt container, it's easy to see why this vacuum is getting so much attention for people looking for a no-fuss, high-performance machine for their short carpets.
Pros
- Lightweight design makes it easy to carry from room to room, or even floor to floor, without breaking your back. At under 8 pounds, it's perfect for those who live in small spaces or need a portable solution.
- Powerful suction provides a deep clean, whether you're on carpets or hard floors. It effortlessly captures dirt, pet hair, and debris, making it a reliable choice for homes with pets.
- The Scatter-Free Technology is a game changer for cleaning hard floors. It reduces messes that would typically scatter around, keeping dirt and dust contained in the vacuum and off your floor.
- Easy-to-empty dirt container ensures you can get back to cleaning without much interruption. With just a press of a button, you can empty the dirt bin without touching debris, which is especially handy for those who hate dealing with dust and dirt.
- The removable extension wand adds flexibility, allowing you to clean high areas or even above-floor surfaces like shelves and upholstery with ease.
- BISSELL Pet Foundation support is a nice bonus, as a portion of your purchase goes toward helping homeless pets.
Cons
- The vacuum may struggle on thicker carpets, especially when trying to deep clean areas with heavy dirt buildup. It's great for short carpets, but might not have the power needed for more demanding floor types.
- Small dustbin capacity means you’ll need to empty it more often, especially during large cleaning sessions. This can be a bit annoying if you need to clean multiple rooms or extensive areas.
- Corded design limits your mobility, requiring you to plug and unplug when moving around a larger space or between rooms. While it provides consistent power, it’s not the most convenient for larger homes.
- The handle might feel a bit rigid for some users, making it harder to maneuver in tight spots. While the vacuum is lightweight, its rigid frame could cause some discomfort during prolonged use.
- Limited accessories compared to other models in its class. While it includes a basic extension wand, it lacks some of the more specialized tools like crevice or upholstery tools that would add extra versatility for cleaning different areas of the home.
The Bissell CleanView Compact Upright Vacuum is a great option for anyone with short carpets, smaller homes, or those who need a lightweight and efficient cleaning solution. With powerful suction, Scatter-Free Technology, and a removable extension wand, this vacuum offers the perfect balance of convenience and performance. However, its small dustbin and corded design might be dealbreakers for those who need to clean larger areas or prefer more flexible mobility. Still, for its size and price, it’s tough to beat when it comes to tackling daily messes in smaller living spaces.
Bissell CleanView Swivel Pet Reach Full-Size Vacuum Cleaner (3198A)
The Bissell CleanView Swivel Pet Reach Full-Size Vacuum Cleaner (3198A) is a vacuum that targets one of the most common cleaning frustrations, pet hair. If you're someone who battles the fur fallout from your four-legged friends, this vacuum might just be the solution you've been searching for. This lightweight, full-size vacuum offers the versatility of a professional cleaner while being easy to use and store. And the best part? With every purchase, Bissell supports the BISSELL Pet Foundation, which works to help save homeless pets, making this a purchase that feels good inside and out.
Pros
- Seamless pet hair pickup is made possible with the TRIPLE ACTION Brush Roll and Scatter-Free Technology, ensuring that pet hair is effortlessly sucked up without causing a mess. This vacuum is a must-have for pet owners struggling with shedding on short carpets.
- The Quick Release Extension Wand is a game-changer for those who need to clean above floor surfaces. Whether you're tackling pet hair on stairs, upholstery, or high shelves, this feature makes switching between floor and above-floor cleaning easy and fast.
- Swivel Steering ensures superior maneuverability, allowing you to glide around furniture and obstacles with ease. If you're dealing with tight corners or crammed spaces, this vacuum will reach places you didn’t think possible.
- With lightweight design (easy to carry, under 8 lbs), this vacuum lets you clean your entire home without tiring out your arms. If you’ve ever struggled with heavy vacuums, this one will be a relief to use, ideal for those who don’t want to sacrifice cleaning power for comfort.
- Specialized pet tools are included, making it easy to target difficult areas like stairs and upholstery. The added flexibility helps you achieve a thorough clean on more than just floors, perfect for tackling pet hair that sticks to fabric.
- Bissell’s support of the Pet Foundation means that your purchase doesn’t just clean your home; it helps other animals find new homes. This gives a deeper level of satisfaction, knowing that your vacuum purchase has a positive social impact.
Cons
- Despite its powerful suction, this vacuum might struggle a bit with thicker carpets. For anyone with a home full of plush, high-pile carpets, this may not be the best choice for deep cleaning those areas. The suction is more suited to shorter carpets and hard floors.
- The dustbin on this model is smaller than some users might prefer. While it’s easy to empty, it can fill up quickly during more extensive cleaning sessions, meaning you’ll need to stop and dump the debris frequently.
- Corded design limits its reach, and you’ll likely need to keep switching outlets when cleaning large spaces. If you’re used to the freedom of a cordless vacuum, this might feel a bit restricting.
- Though the pet tools work great, the vacuum may not include every attachment for every possible cleaning scenario. Some nooks and crannies may still require additional tools, especially if you have furniture with complex textures or need precision for cleaning tight spaces.
- The maneuverability offered by the Swivel Steering is wonderful, but some users may find it a bit tricky to control in certain positions, especially if you're trying to clean under low furniture or in smaller spaces.
The Bissell CleanView Swivel Pet Reach is an excellent choice for pet owners with short carpets and homes needing frequent cleaning of pet hair. With the right combination of powerful suction, specialized pet tools, and maneuverability, this vacuum makes light work of tasks that might otherwise be difficult. However, if you have high-pile carpets or need a larger dustbin, this vacuum might not meet all your needs. Despite these minor limitations, its overall performance on short carpets and hard floors, along with its pet-friendly features, make it a fantastic choice for everyday cleaning.
Bissell CleanView Compact Turbo Upright Vacuum (3437F)
The Bissell CleanView Compact Turbo Upright Vacuum (3437F) stands out as a versatile, lightweight cleaning solution. With full-size power packed into a compact design, this vacuum is ideal for those who need a high-performance machine without the bulk. At just 10 lbs, it’s perfect for anyone living in apartments, dorms, or smaller homes, but still seeking a vacuum that can handle tough messes. With features like Scatter-Free Technology, a Quick Release Extension Wand, and powerful suction, the CleanView Turbo is built for both short carpets and hard floors, making it a well-rounded cleaning tool.
Pros
- Lightweight design (10 lbs) makes it easy to carry around, whether you need to move from room to room or clean multiple floors. This vacuum is a dream for those who prefer a compact yet powerful machine that doesn’t sacrifice cleaning efficiency for size.
- The full-size power of this vacuum makes it perfect for tackling daily messes without feeling like you're using a bulky machine. Whether it's dirt or pet hair, this vacuum provides deep suction that’s strong enough to handle a range of cleaning tasks.
- Scatter-Free Technology ensures that debris doesn’t spread across the floor while cleaning, especially when you’re working with hard floors. This feature is a big win for those who hate cleaning up dust and dirt that gets pushed around instead of sucked up.
- Quick Release Extension Wand provides flexibility, letting you easily switch from cleaning floors to above-floor areas, such as stairs, upholstery, or shelves. This added convenience makes it a top pick for multi-surface cleaning.
- The vacuum's compact design means it fits perfectly in smaller spaces. Whether you have limited storage or need to clean in tight spots, this vacuum delivers without taking up unnecessary room.
- Bissell’s support of the Pet Foundation ensures that with every purchase, you’re helping homeless pets. This makes the purchase feel even better, knowing that your vacuum is contributing to a good cause.
Cons
- While it excels in maneuverability and portability, the dustbin capacity is on the smaller side. For larger homes or extended cleaning sessions, you may need to empty it frequently, which could be a hassle.
- The vacuum’s corded design limits its mobility, especially for those used to the freedom of a cordless vacuum. You’ll need to switch outlets for larger spaces, which can be inconvenient for quick cleanups.
- Despite its powerful suction, the 10 lbs weight might still feel slightly heavy for users with limited strength or for those looking for a truly ultra-lightweight model. While it’s light for a full-size vacuum, it may not be the best option for people with physical limitations.
- Thicker carpets may prove challenging for this vacuum, as its suction power, while strong, might not be enough to handle deep cleaning on dense, high-pile carpets. It’s better suited for short carpets and hard floors.
The Bissell CleanView Compact Turbo offers a great balance of power and portability, perfect for anyone in need of a compact vacuum that still performs like a full-size cleaner. Its lightweight design and features like Scatter-Free Technology and the Quick Release Extension Wand make it a solid choice for people in apartments or smaller homes. However, it’s not ideal for those with large spaces or thick carpets, and the corded design could be limiting for some users. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for quick, effective cleanups with the added bonus of supporting a charitable cause.
